Holy Envy

India

A Holy Envy tourFebruary 11–23, 2027

Overview

Experience the beauty, faith, and wonder of India.

India is hard to describe until you've been there.

The colors. The sounds. The people. The food. The faith. It seems like every day brings something you couldn't have imagined.

I didn't know the kind of impression India was going to have on my heart. I've thought about the people I met and the lessons I learned there ever since.

And that's why I want to take you.

We're going to see an extraordinary country. But we're also going to step into a world filled with devotion, prayer, and belief.

A chance to discover what is good and beautiful about the faith of others. And perhaps come home with a little more faith of our own.

Old Delhi

Old Delhi

Hold on.

Rickshaws through narrow streets.

Spice markets. Mosques. Temples. Sacred pools. Crowds. Food. Noise. Color.

We'll visit the Bahá'í Lotus Temple, the Sikh Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, Jama Masjid, Gandhi's final home, and Akshardham Temple. We'll ride through Chandni Chowk and the old spice markets.

This is India at full volume.

Varanasi

Varanasi

One of the holiest places in India.

We'll travel to Varanasi and stand on the banks of the Ganges, one of the most sacred places in Hinduism.

Sunrise boats. Prayer. Offerings. Fire. Pilgrims.

We'll watch the city wake up from the river and return in the evening for the Ganga Aarti, the fire ritual and prayer offered along its banks.

For some people, coming here is the journey of a lifetime.

The Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal

A Wonder of the World

There is a reason it is considered one of the Wonders of the World.

The Taj is one of the most beautiful buildings ever created. And even more extraordinary when you're standing in front of it. But the story behind it is the most stunning part of it all.

Jaipur

Jaipur

The Pink City.

Palaces. Temples. Textiles. Cricket. High tea. Color everywhere.

We'll explore Amber Fort, see traditional block printing, spend time at beautiful temples, and experience another completely different side of India.

There's so much to love about this place.

Rising Star

Spend time with people.

In Chennai, we'll spend a day with Rising Star Outreach, visiting communities affected by leprosy and spending time with the children on the Rising Star campus.

Rising Star works alongside families and communities through education, medical care, and opportunities for economic development.

This part of the trip isn't about checking off another sight.

It's about people.

Listening. Learning. Serving. Being together.

And I have a feeling this will be one of the parts you remember most.

And yes, the hotels are really nice

And yes, the hotels are really nice

Almost all of our hotels are beautiful five-star properties with private grounds, pools, gardens, excellent food, and incredible hospitality.

You'll experience the intensity and wonder of India and still come back to someplace beautiful and comfortable at the end of the day.

More than just a trip

The point of this trip isn't just to see remarkable places or learn about other religions.

It's to notice.

What is good? What is beautiful? What can they teach us?

We're going to step into these sacred places as guests, learn from people who actually live their faith, and hopefully discover something about our own along the way.

You'll come home with pictures of the Taj Mahal, the Ganges, palaces, markets, temples, and more colors than you knew existed.

But I hope you'll also come home thinking differently.

About people. About faith. About God.

And maybe with a little more holy envy for the devotion you saw along the way.
