Stand beneath the Great Pyramids of Giza
One of those moments when you can't quite believe you're actually standing there.
Egypt · Jordan · Israel
Overview
You've heard about these places your entire life!
The Sea of Galilee. The Mount of Beatitudes. The Garden of Gethsemane. Jerusalem.
Now imagine actually being there!
Walking the land where Jesus walked. Sitting on the hillsides where He taught. Sailing on the very sea where He calmed the storm. Standing in the places where so many of the stories you've loved your whole life happened.
And on this trip, we're going to experience even more of the story.
Before we even get to Israel, we'll stand beneath the great pyramids of Egypt, explore the ancient world of the pharaohs, and walk through the towering cliffs into Petra in Jordan.
The pyramids. Petra. Galilee. Jerusalem.

We're going to do more than visit the places where these stories happened. We're going to spend time in the stories themselves.
From the ancient civilizations of Egypt and Jordan to the shores of Galilee and the streets of Jerusalem, there's so much history and faith to explore.
Every day we'll open our scriptures, ask questions, explore the history, and have lessons and devotionals in the places we're visiting.
My hope is that we'll come home with renewed faith, knowing and loving Jesus a little more than we did before.
It's one of my favorite things in the world to do. And I can't wait to do it with you.

One of the oldest stories in the world.
We'll begin with three nights in Cairo, exploring a world that seems almost impossible to believe is real.
The pyramids. The pharaohs. The Nile. Thousands of years of history.
And an opportunity to explore a country that plays such an important part in the biblical story.

One of those moments when you can't quite believe you're actually standing there.

An extraordinary monument that has watched over the desert for thousands of years.

See ancient Egyptian treasures and learn about the civilization that shaped so much of the ancient world.

Visit ancient churches and learn about the Christian history of Egypt.
And there's more. The Nile · Cairo's markets and bazaars · Ancient Egypt · and more.

And then there's Petra.
After Egypt, we'll fly to Amman and spend two nights in Jordan.
And one of the experiences I'm most excited about is Petra.
Imagine walking through the narrow Siq, with towering cliffs on either side, until suddenly you come around the corner and see the Treasury carved into the rock.
It's one of those places you've seen in photographs your whole life.
And then there you are. Standing right in front of it.
Follow the winding passage between towering sandstone cliffs into the ancient city.
See one of the most remarkable ancient monuments in the world.
Discover tombs, temples, and incredible stone architecture carved into the mountains.
Experience the deserts and ancient routes that connect so much of the biblical world.
And then we'll make our way into Israel.

The land of miracles.
We'll spend three nights in Galilee, the countryside Jesus called home. Sleeping in a hotel right on the shores of the sea.
We'll visit the fishing villages, fields, hillsides, and shores where Jesus grew up and spent so much of His ministry.
This was His home. So many of the miracles you love happened here.

Talk about storms, fear, trust, and faith on the water where those stories happened.

Open the Sermon on the Mount on the hillside where Jesus invited His followers to a happier way of living.

Step into the world of His childhood and the quiet years before His ministry began.

One of the few places where we can be pretty confident Jesus stood.
And there's more. Capernaum · Caesarea Philippi · Cana · and more.

The Holy City.
We'll spend three nights in Jerusalem, a city people have prayed for, fought over, crossed oceans to see, and dreamed about for thousands of years.
Here Jesus taught in the temple, entered the city to waving palm branches, broke bread with His friends, prayed in Gethsemane, carried the cross, and rose again.
It is still a city at the center of faith for billions of people around the world. And when you are there, you feel it!

Look out over the city Jesus loved, wept over, and entered during His final week.

Sit among the olive trees and remember the night Jesus chose to give everything.

Experience the history, cultures, markets, and sacred places of Jerusalem.

Spend time remembering the greatest news the world has ever heard: He is risen.
And there's more. Ancient Temple Steps · The Western Wall · Bethlehem · Floating in the Dead Sea · and more.
On my trips, we walk the streets, climb the steps, wander through ruins, duck into churches, and fit a lot into every day.
That's part of the fun. I think it's one of the best ways to experience a new place.
But these are active trips. There will be plenty of walking, stairs, hills, cobblestones, and uneven surfaces. Some sites have limited accessibility, and everyone needs to be able to keep up with the general pace of the group.
If you have questions about whether the trip is a good fit for you, please contact us before registering.
If that sounds like your kind of trip, I think you're going to love it!
