Bring the New Testament to life in the places Paul and the Apostles taught, sailed, and stood.
This special cruise is a wonderful chance to enhance your studies of the New Testament with David Butler. What better way to bring the scriptures to life than to visit some of the areas the Apostles traveled to.
We start in Athens, followed by a cruise to Greece and Turkey. Ports of call let Dave teach at sites where Paul and other Apostles visited. On the ship, there is also time to teach as we pass near places like Patmos, with its history of John the Revelator.
Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship: in addition to teaching on-site in Rome and many ports of call, Dave will also do some teaching on the ship.

Where the days go
Ephesus
Tour the impressive ruins of Ephesus. Paul and John were involved in creating the church there and in surrounding churches.
Rome
Two days touring and two nights in Rome. Paul was held near the Forum and died a martyr for his faith. Also visit the Vatican, Forum, and Coliseum.
Crete
After Paul’s first imprisonment, he visited Crete, where he taught and started the church.

Finish Athens sights, then transfer to the Royal Caribbean ship and embark for the cruise.

Free day to explore Mykonos. Wander the streets, visit museums, shop, or enjoy a beach.

Ephesus, Turkey
Ship docks in Kusadasi. Visit Ephesus and the surrounding area. Dave plans a special presentation in Ephesus.

Santorini, Greece
Free day to explore Santorini and its white-washed villas on the cliffs.

Chania, Crete
Shore excursion to Chania, the Tombs of Venizelos, and the ruins of Aptera.

Olympia (Katakolon)
Excursion visiting the surrounding area, then return to the ship.

Day at sea
Meet with Dave for New Testament teaching, plus time to enjoy the ship.

Rome and Vatican City
Disembark and tour Vatican City: St. Peter's Basilica, St. Peter's Square, Vatican Museum, and Sistine Chapel. Hotel overnight in Rome.

Rome
Visit the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and finish touring in the area. Overnight in Rome.
Day 12 · Sep 9
Rome, fly home
Transfer to the Rome airport for return flights home.
